If you have experienced Neue Schule bits previously you may notice some modifications with new stock - for instance:

1 Along with the usual NS Stamp on the mouthpiece there is also Salox.

2 The Salox is a slightly deeper gold.

3 The cheeks may be brushed satin stainless steel as opposed to the polished cheek.

Product Information/availability

Owing to the extreme popularity of the Neue Schule Collection you have unfortunately cleaned us out of many, if not all, of the more popular sizes and designs!!!!!! We are therefore working extremely hard on your behalf to replenish stock and increase our capacity to serve you better in the future. I am currently working in conjunction with my R&D team and our manufacturing partners, not only on some state-of-the-art modifications to existing mouthpieces and cheeks, but also on some very exciting new designs. For the time being, when you search and click on a product that you are wishing to purchase, if it is temporarily out of stock in the size you require, it will not be an option in the drop down list. If you wish for further information please 'phone us on 01642 710627, listen to the various options and press "1" on your keypad to talk to me personally. Some technical improvements require careful research and development and if I am advised that the bit you require is going to be out of stock for some time then I would be only too pleased to advise you of an alternative mouthpiece that may be equally as beneficial.

We do apologise for any inconvenient delays, however, if you have been reading the various equestrian magazines, our bits have had much endorsement recently by many of our top international trainers and riders.

For instance recent articles featured in the equestrian magazines on the 23rd August 2007 regarding the Verbindend (Connection bit) caused a surge in demand and much depleted stocks - an article prior to that where the virtues of our unique warm NS Salox Gold Metal and the Neue Schule Angled Tranz Universal were extolled by international event riders and showjumpers also means that this bit is currently unavailable from 5" - 6". How New Designs Evolve.

The Neue Schule Salox Compound.

The Neue Schule Salox is our unique composition - this is a warmer softer metal with a very high copper content and Neue Schule additive to maximise on oxidation (Nickel Free). This promotes salivation, mouthing, acceptance and harmony. Many horses that have previously only been bittable in rubber or nylon have proven extremely comfortable in the Neue Schule Salox. All bits in the Neue Schule Collection have high density stainless steel rings, cheeks, etc., for appearance and durability.

The Neue Schule Sweetiron Material.

Sweetiron is not a new material - it has stood the test of time by proving to indeed live up to its name giving a sweet taste within the mouth encouraging mouthing, relaxation and the horse to stretch into a true contact (stainless steel can dry the mouth). The sweetiron mouthpiece is black and it is designed to oxidize - this is what tastes sweet and it is during oxidization that a thin brown coating will appear on the outer surface and this will not wear off as our mouthpieces are solid.

In order to clean a Neue Schule Sweetiron mouthpiece simply wash it off after use and allow it to dry naturally. The cheeks are made of stainless steel
